NCSA Junior National Results

Day One - Four

The first four days at Junior Nationals have been very good for the CMSA Bigfish.

Highlights:

TJ Leon won the 100 Fly on Friday night with an Olympic Trial Qualifying Time.  TJ swam a 55.39 and the Olympic Trial qualifying time was 55.59. TJ moved up from the 3rd seed in prelims to winning the event and becoming the Junior National champion in the 100 Butterfly.

Spencer Kern;  Spencer's best 100 Breast individual time was 1:04.03. Spencer swam a time trial and went 1:01.14.  His 1000 Free was a little off his best but we are looking forward to some great swims in the next couple of days. Spencer also swam the 400IM and the 500 Free.  We are very proud of Spencer for qualifying for this meet and we are looking forward to a great long course season.

TJ Leon swam the 100 Free.  In the prelims his time was 44.78Y (his best was 45.37Y) and this was the fastest time of the prelims.  TJ ended up finishing 3rd overall in the 100 Free at finals.  He swam a 52.25M (his best was 52.88M) at the long course finals session.  TJ ended up 9th in the 50 Fly with a time of 28.33.  As you read above, TJ won the 100 Fly with an Olympic Trial Qualifying time.

Parker Glass time trialed the 200 Back.  She had a fantastic swim with a 2:04.69Y (her best was 2:09.70).  She made the Junior National standard and was one second off the SC Senior National Time Standard.  Parker also had a great 100 Back.  Parker went 59.03, her best time was 59.73 so this was a really nice break through for Parker.  Parker also competed in the 200 Free and 500 Free but they were a little off her best.  We are very proud of Parker.

Victoria Lawrence swam the 200 Back.  She had a super swim with a 2:07.97 (her best was 2:08.92).  Victoria cut almost two seconds at Southeasterns so another second cut was great. Victoria ended the meet with a best time in the 100 Fly (58.14) bettering her best time by .15 seconds.  Victoria was just off her best 100 Back (1:00.03) and also swam a great 50 Butterly (27.34).

WAY TO GO BIGFISH!
